These are some of the very first photos of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi theme park after the completion of the almost alien-like external structure. Set to be the world’s largest indoor theme park and the first ever Ferrari theme park in the world when it opens in 2010, it comes complete with a racetrack that will host the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, shops, hotels, various attractions, rides and just about anything else to make it a gear-head’s "Disney Land".

Talking about Disney Land, the Ferrari theme park which is located on Yas Island between the coast and city of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, will include the world’s fastest rollercoaster. Travelling at speeds in excess of 200 km/h (124 mph), it is said to emulate the feeling of being in a Ferrari F1 car as the passengers go over 62 m through the roof and back down again.

As for the theme park’s now completed red roof, which is claimed to have been directly inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body, it covers a surface area of 200,000m² (2.15 million square feet) and features the largest "prancing horse" emblem in the world, measuring an astonishing 66 meters (217 feet) in diameter.

Porsche Plan Εως Το 2013 (;)

por301009

Autocar appears to have come into Porsche’s future plans. The following is a supposed outline of what the company wants to bring to market. The year 2010 sees the arrival of the Panamera V6 turbodiesel. Since this is an entry-level car (price is speculated at about £60,000) meant to be frugal, it will probably not use AWD but send power to the rear wheels.

The Volkswagen-borrowed engine could be re-engineered and updated so it can also be adapted to the next-generation Cayenne which gets a more curvaceous look like the 911 for 2010. The SUV will feature some engines from the Panamera including direct-injection V8s and a full parallel hybrid. The latter was approved last year but only joins the lineup in 2011.

By 2011 Panamera should be a well-established name and ripe for a hybrid. A similar system to the Cayenne hybrid is likely but without the AWD burden. While the US could get a V8 hybrid, Europe will probably opt for the smaller V6 alternative.

The summer of 2012 welcomes an all-new 911 which will share very little with the current car. Longer and wider, the sports coupe will also be more powerful and more fuel-efficient than ever.

The Cayenne finally gets a smaller sibling in 2013. Rumoured to be called the Roxster, this compact SUV will share Audi Q5 underpinnings and maybe engines. The same year a brand new entry-level Porsche arrives to see the Boxster/ Cayman range move more upmarket.

Having spent quite a substantial amount developing the Panamera, Porsche is keen to spread the platform around and recoup its investment. Possible strategies include creating another model as well as a two-door Cabriolet. Should the board approve we could see it in 2013 as well.

Mitsubishi Concept CrossOver

mitsubishi301009

The automaker has announced that it will produce a new compact SUV based on the Concept CX which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007. The rather generically named Compact Crossover is set to make it to the Japanese market by early next year (February 2010) and be rolled out in other markets around the world soon after that.

The model will be manufactured under Mitsubishi’s Project Global - a mid-sized global platform. The Japanese automaker claims in its press release on the Compact Crossover that the new model signals a shift for the brand towards more passenger and crossover models and away from full-fledged SUVs.

The Compact Crossover will be slotted below the Outlander model in the Mitsubishi product range. It will feature all-wheel drive capability and a new 1.8 liter diesel engine with 134 bhp and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. Mitsubishi’s twin-clutch SST gearbox, already seen in the Evo X, may also be a feature of the new Compact Crossover. Mitsubishi will first present the Compact Crossover in Europe at the 2010 Geneva motor show.
