BMW Z1 Coupe
BMW has recently released details of a few, never seen before, concepts among which is the BMW Z1 Coupe from 1988, which was based on the roadster version. The BMW Z1 Coupe is a three-seater with a rear mounted engine. The driver of the BMW Z1 Coupe was seated behind a central mounted steering wheel, much like the McLaren F1.
The BMW Z1 Coupe was powered by a six-cylinder in-line engine developing 125 kW/170 hp and featured a monocoque-type steel chassis with a bonded plastic floor. The BMW Z1 Coupe had a completely new suspension and rear wheel drive and was capable of reaching speeds of up to 225 km/h.
The BMW Z1 Coupe is presented to the public to celebrate the landmark anniversary of BMW Forschung und Technik GmbH.

Peugeot RCZ Sports Coupe
The European market launch of the most expressive and dare we say, beautiful Peugeot of the past decade or so, saw the French automaker releasing a trickle of photos of the new RCZ sports coupe that you can enjoy in high-res quality after the break.
Revealed in production form for the very first time at last year’s Frankfurt Show, the RCZ is one of those few cars that made it from concept to production virtually unchanged. And if anything else, Peugeot should be applauded for its bold decision to do so.
The French 2+2 seater compact coupe, which challenges the more simpler looking VW Scirocco and Audi TT, is offered at launch with a choice of three engines: a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol available with 156HP or 200HP (the same unit is used on the MINI Coooper models) and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel with 163 ponies.
Whichever engine you select, you get a standard 6-speed manual gearbox that transfers power to the front-wheels, while the 156HP 1.6 THP is also offered optionally with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

2011 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG Coupe
It’s been nearly four years since the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class underwent a major overhaul, so M-B is planning a few subtle improvements to the third-generation W216 model before an all-new S-Class coupe arrives on the scene in late 2014.
The new coupe will continue to be available in a variety of variants, but our spy shooters weathering the wintery climes have caught what they believe to be the 604-horsepower twin-turbocharged V12 version wearing a slightly modified fascia adorned with a single chrome slat, enlarged logo, LED daytime driving lamps and a new front bumper and splitter mildly reminiscent of the SLS AMG.
When the refreshed model debuts either next month at the Geneva Motor Show or later this year in Paris don’t expect any seriously substantive tweaks to be made to the powertrain. That’ll likely come in the next few years when Mercedes begins downsizing and turbocharging, and we expect the S-Class coupe to be one of the first models to benefit from the new mill.
