Electric Ford Focus In 2012
Ford announced today that it plans to bring five new electric models on the market by 2013, amongst which the Electric Ford Focus which will be launched in 2012. The 2012 Electric Ford Focus BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) will be joined by the Ford Transit Connect Electric which will come in 2011. These two will be followed by two new hybrid-electric models and a plug-in hybrid-electric.
A prototype of the 2012 Electric Ford Focus, based on the current version of the model, will enter trails in Europe under the supervision of a consortium of Ford, Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) and Strathclyde University. However, the production version of the 2012 Electric Ford Focus will not be based on the current version of the car.

Citroen Survolt Sports Car
A sleek electric sports coupe named ‘Survolt’ was Citroen’s surprise debut at this year’s edition of the Geneva Salon. The low-slung, 3,850 mm long, 1,870 mm wide and 1,200 mm tall concept car combines styling elements from both the ‘GT by Citroen’ supercar and last year’s Revolte concept studies.
The French firm did not release any technical details on the Survolt other than that it is powered by an electric motor fed by a set of batteries. And while the chances of a car like the Survolt making into production are slimmer than the return of the Edsel, the concept’s design could inspire the next generation of Citroen’s production cars.
